In service of music
My name is Radu, and music has shaped my life from an early age. Trained in classical guitar music, I grew through performance, discipline, and competition before stepping into the world of modern heavy music. Years of performance, competitions and festival stages instilled in me a deep respect for craft.Â
Parallel to my classical training, I immersed myself in modern heavy music. As a rhythm guitarist in bands across Romania and the United Kingdom, I experienced the creative process from within — writing, rehearsing, performing and refining material for live audiences. Those years on stage and in rehearsal rooms shaped my understanding of what artists truly need from an engineer: clarity, trust and someone who speaks the same language.
My journey into audio engineering began in my teenage years, driven by curiosity about how impactful records are constructed. That curiosity led to pursuing formal education abroad, in the United Kingdom, where I studied Music Technology and refined both my technical and musical perspective.
Since then, I have collaborated with over 100 artists and bands, focusing primarily on modern metal while remaining open to any genre that values depth and intention.
Beyond studio work, I maintain my own solo musical project, MetalBiscuit, and currently serve as live and studio engineer for the band Crocodile Paradox. Touring and live production have reinforced an essential principle: sound must not only be impressive in isolation — it must translate, endure and connect.
At the core of everything I do is a simple commitment: to honour the vision behind each piece of music. I approach every project with the discipline of a classical musician, the instinct of a band member, and the precision of a trained engineer — so that when you release your work, you do so with confidence.
Behind every song is someone who invested hours, doubt, passion and persistence into bringing it to life. Engineering, to me, is an act of respect. It is about understanding what the artist is trying to say and ensuring nothing in the technical process distorts that message.
